The World is Our Oyster explores the dual nature of the oyster and its prized pearl. Jalotjot hand-built each separate component, and glass was melted onto the ice cubes to mimic its glossiness. Metallic paint and shimmer were then applied to the wearable 'pearl' jewelry. Through The World is Our Oyster, Jalotjot encourages viewers to reflect on the exploitation versus conservation of the oyster.
